Meet Majo & Cami
Majo & Cami are both from Buenos Aires and share the same passion: HORSES. They met a long time ago when they were working as horse riding guides at El Calafate, Patagonia. Here, they were in charge of designing new trails, selecting the horses for the rides and, of course, taking out the guests for amazing cavalcades!
Time went by and they took different trails. Majo went through the path of endurance races, polo and jumping. As for Cami, she started learning about horsemanship. But their paths joined again to create EQUUS Argentina. They wanted to show all horse lovers the best places in Argentina to practice the different equine disciplines. Their aim is to help horse lovers discover the most exclusive and hidden treasure spots to ride on.
Majo
Just like Cami, Majo grew up next to horses and inherited the passion from her father. Since very young she was already riding horses with her cousins. Traveling is another thing she always liked and wherever she went she looked to put these two together. Her dream was to ride in the wild West (USA). In 2011 she was able to fulfill it. She got to assist rodeos, cavalcades and cow herdings in Montana, visited mustangs in Wyoming and even got to participate in her first endurance race.
Majo has a degree in Tourism and managed to combine her two favorite things, horses and traveling. She met Cami in 2012 when they were both working as horseback riding guides in Patagonia and since then they have been good friends. As a horsewoman she participated in training and competing in endurance in different places in Argentina. She then turned on the jumping world to do the same.
Professionally, she worked for eight years in a polo club where she was able to bring people from all over the world to play in Argentina. Thanks to horses she was able to travel to England, Italy, Switzerland, Monaco and Miami.
Today she is doing what she loves the most: offering all her knowledge about her country and horses to all those travellers looking for a real horse riding experience.
Cami
Although she was born in Buenos Aires city her love for horses came to her in her early years thanks to many long summer holidays on the family farm. She had her first contact with this marvelous animal as a baby, before she could even walk, and since then the special bond grew stronger.
Cami took every chance destiny gave her to introduce herself more and more in the equine world. Luckly, life made her cross paths with people equally passionate about horses. One of them was Majo whom she met in El Calafate where they were both horseback riding guides. It was in that special and unique place their friendship was born.
Since then, she did everything she could to continue meeting people that could teach her everything and anything about horses. She made good friends and discovered that the equestrian universe and its knowledge was infinite. Luckly, she met a very special partner with whom she started to do what she wished the most: learn all about how to tame horses and becoming one with them. Today she’s still studying the different ways of doing so, picking the techniques she likes the best from every teacher she can, well known and not so much. Her main aim is getting to know this noble being in a peaceful and respectful way so as to achieve the perfect human-horse binomial.
