“There is no telling how many miles you will have to run while chasing a dream”. This quote basically defines the sport: even though it’s a race against time, for most participants it has a deeper meaning. For some of them winning is the main goal; for others the importance lies in the adventure. The treasure is the road itself rather than the finish line.

However, what matters the most for everyone is the connection created between horse and rider and as a consequence, how this incredible bond manages to overcome all the obstacles in their way, especially their own minds.

About the horse and race

Any horse breed is accepted for this competition although the Arabian are the favorite when facing long distances. They are genetically designed to live in the desert; hence, they are light, compact, fast and intelligent. Certainly, they are the most popular endurance horse.

There are different FEI (International Equestrian Federation in Spanish) categories in Argentina: 80 km, 100 km, 120 km and 160 km. There is an annual calendar that is located in different areas around the country.
