Neuquen
Fearless, Brave and Proud
The scenery in this region couldn’t get any better. In Neuquen you can find countless of beautiful lakes. In addition, it’s surrounded by high imposing peaks, glaciers, and forests. As a result, there is nothing like horse riding or fly fishing in this spectacular part of Argentina.
This province is one of the jewels of Argentina. It’s to the south of Mendoza (land of wines) and it shares its west border with their neighboring country, Chile. Also, Río Negro, another gem of Argentina, is located just south of Neuquen.
Fly Fishing
You can find many important lakes by the Andes Mountains such as Traful and Nahuel Huapi. Most of them are surrounded by ancient forests. Here, the mountains truly provide a special place to do fly fishing. Indeed, this province has the best spots to fish rainbow and brown trout, and in the Traful Lake, you can even find salmon.
Rivers are very important for this region, not only because they make Neuquen a world class destination for fly fishing, but also because they are responsible of generating much of the electricity of the country.
Activities
In this destination there are plenty of adventurous activities such as climbing, rafting and trekking on endless trails. In particular, the most popular are fly fishing in amazing rivers and discovering immense landscapes on the back of a horse.
Luckly, Neuquen allows tourism all year round.
