About the Place

Tierra del Fuego is also known as the land where the world ends. It’s an island located at the very south of Argentina and Chile. It is on the Argentinean side where you will find the famous city of Ushuaia (capital city of the province of Tierra del Fuego).

Tierra del Fuego is an amazing destination because it provides for a great variety of activities and places to visit. For example, its ski resort “Cerro Castor” is considered to be the best place to practice this sport in all of South America. Thanks to its location, the place has an excellent snow quality. It’s not uncommon for European ski teams to come and train here during Argentina’s winter season. But ski is not the only activity to do during the winter. This destination also offers other unique experiences such as dog sled tours, ice skating in its hidden ponds, or a visit to the old train named “El Tren del Fin del Mundo” (“train of the end of the world”). This train was used to transport the prisoners of Ushuaia’s jail to the forest to chop wood.

As for Horses

Horse riding in Ushuaia deserves a special mention because riding in the very south of the world is simply surreal. You can ride by the shore of the Beagle Canal or explore Ushuaia´s forest. You can also cross rivers, and if you are looking for a very wild experience, the Peninsula Mitre expedition is a MUST.
