The Polo Day option is great for those who have never played this sport and want to experience it! It’s a day tour and it’s an ideal opportunity to get familiar with this characteristic sport so typical of our country. Beginners shouldn’t worry, the horses are very easy to handle!

The estancia is located in Cañuelas, only 1 hour away from Buenos Aires City and half an hour away from Ezeiza International Airport.

Unlike other places that offer the same service, here you can feel the polo experience at its most. This estancia is a professional polo club and it hosts more than 30 anual tournaments.

Itinerary

Pick up at 9 AM from Buenos Aires City. Transfer to the estancia.
Welcome reception at the hotel boutique with coffee or mate and homemade bread. Here guests will meet the polo instructor who will give a small introduction about the sport and the history of the place.
Polo lessons: once ready, they will go to the stables nearby. Here they will also learn about the training and taking care of the polo horses. Guests will be provided with the riding equipment: helmet and mallet. Once on the horses, the instructor will first teach the riders the basic riding commands: how to go forward, how to stop, how to go either way. After this, they will learn how to use the mallet and hit the ball.
Lunch will be at 13 Hs. The instructor will take the riders back to the hotel where together they will have lunch in the beautiful garden. Usually the option is asado, but this can be adapted to the guests preferences.
After lunch, guests can choose between having another lesson and playing a mini cucker or watching a polo practice. This last option is every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday when the club members play. There are also other activities to do, like biking or riding for pleasure. In summer times there is also a swimming pool.
At 18 hr, after a snack, a car will take the guests back to Buenos Aires City.

The estancia is located near the town of Cañuelas, 60 minutes away from Buenos Aires city.

Other activities for riders and non riders companions

This is an excellent choice for those who want to have a polo experience but also for those who just want to enjoy a peaceful day at an estancia in the Argentinean Pampas. The place counts with many activities besides horses, there is another option called “Dia de Campo”, or “A Day in the Farm”, which starts at 10 till 18 Hs and it includes:

A welcome reception.
Asado for lunch.
An afternoon snack.
Activities: a horse carriage ride, bikes, horse riding, a visit to the labyrinth or relaxing and enjoy watching a polo game.

The estancia is 260 hectares big and it has many trails available to discover on your feet or by bike. It’s a nice place to walk around and just enjoy nature. It has a lagoon where you can also do some bird watching.
